FACTS: Located in the East Village, NYC
WHAT I ORDERED:
Shoyu Ramen: Classic Tokyo-style Ramen with Chashu Roast Pork in a Soy Sauce Based Soup
Standard Toppings: Spinach, Soft Boiled Egg, Bamboo Shoots, Fish Cake, Dry Seaweed, and Scallions
Having first been introduced to this restaurant pre-renovations, I found it to be both authentic and delicious; hence, never leaving my radar. Now, slightly larger and with broader curb appeal, due to its flashy red signage, Rai Rai Ken still remains one of my favorite neighborhood spots.
One can never go wrong with a piping hot bowl of ramen soup, especially during the cold winter months. Finding it packed with the most flavorful ingredients, you will be sure to savor every last bite, from start to finish.
I highly recommend this affordable and tasty place.
